We do the facilitation
You don't need to prepare lessons or lead discussions.
Character in Competition is delivered directly to your athletes, allowing you to focus on coaching while we focus on team culture and personal development.
About the program
Character in Competition was created to help coaches develop the qualities they want to see in their athletes—but often don't have the time, resources, or framework to teach consistently.
Why it matters
Character in Competition is not a replacement for coaching. It's a complement to it.
We help athletes develop the communication, resilience, confidence, and leadership skills that allow coaching to have an even greater impact.
Competition tests resilience after setbacks, humility after success, communication during conflict, and leadership when challenges arise. While technical skills help athletes perform, character skills help them navigate the pressures, relationships, and responsibilities that come with competition.
Character in Competition helps athletes develop the habits and mindset that contribute to both personal growth and positive team culture.

The program addresses challenges commonly experienced by girls in competitive environments, including confidence, comparison, perfectionism, relationships, belonging, and leadership.
Sessions are interactive, age-appropriate, and immediately applicable to athletes' experiences both within and beyond their sport.
Participants complete pre- and post-program assessments that help measure growth in confidence, communication, resilience, leadership, and team connection.
The goal
Imagine a team where athletes:
That's the goal of Character in Competition. Because the strongest teams aren't built on talent alone—they're built on culture.
The program
Competitive sports and performance activities teach valuable lessons. Character in Competition helps ensure those lessons are intentional.
Through five facilitated sessions, athletes develop the skills that strengthen team culture, build resilience, improve communication, and foster leadership both on and off the field, court, stage, or mat.
Designed specifically for girls in competitive environments across Minnesota.
